In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the protests against racial injustice that have erupted across the country, Bank of America has announced a four-year, $1 billion commitment in support of economic opportunity initiatives.
Advances in science and technology have lifted the United States out of past economic downturns, and Americans are eager for a new commitment to research and innovation to be made now. Even at the outset of unprecedented economic conditions, more than 90 percent of the electorate supported expanded efforts to strengthen the key elements of a knowledge-driven economy.
The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) — the state agency responsible for strengthening the commonwealth’s position as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship — recently released the 2019 edition of its annual report, The Index of the Massachusetts Innovation Economy, which includes an updated list of the 10 leading technology states and a detailed special analysis on entrepreneurial ecosystems.
